For all you devotees of the “golden age” of travel, we are very pleased that Granville will be back with his 1946 Leyland Tiger bus. The Heritage Tour will do the usual trips to Rievaulx Abbey and Hutton le Hole via Gillamoor and the ‘surprise view’. Also a NEW to this season scenic tour round to Castle Howard via Byland Abbey, Coxwold and Nunnington, returning via Terrington and Slingsby. There will be a morning and afternoon run. The heritage Tour will operate every Sunday in July and August, including the Summer Bank Holiday on the 25th. A separate leaflet has been produced specially for the Heritage Tour giving the route and times.
The 128 Service this year has been extended to include an everyday service between Scarborough and Sutton Bank Visitor Centre from Monday 30th June upto and including Saturday 4th October.
Moorsbus are pleased to introduce this year a new route - a direct service from Whitby to Pickering. The M17 will leave from the bus station at 8.50am and arrive at The Ropery, Pickering at 9.30am. This should be more accessible for holidaymakers who are in Hotels and B and B accommodation and will bring passengers right into the heart of the Moorsbus network. At Pickering you can either carry on to Rosedale Abbey or join any of our other services which pass through Pickering about this time.
We are also pleased to announce a new service around Hawby & Snilesworth. A much long awaited, and requested addition to our extensive network. The original M16 from the east coast (now starting at Saltburn) will run from Guisborough through to Stokesley and Osmotherley as before on the M2 & M9 service, and then onward as the M19 service through Snilesworth, Hawnby, Helmsley and on to Sutton Bank. Then from Sutton Bank through Old Byland, Hawnby and back into Helmsley. Our previous M13 from Malton will still operate as previous years into Helmsley, but then change to the M19 route also and run through Hawnby arriving Square Corner 1115, and then into Osmotherley. This will then return via Hawnby, Sneck Yate, Old Byland to Sutton Bank etc..

There will be various other alternative routes on this service as well. Please see the timetable for full details. If you would like advice on planning a journey through this route, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The fares for this year will be £4.00 and £7.00 for adults or £8.00 and £14.00 for families.
